How to replace Compressor on Chevrolet Corvette?

In this chapter the Compressor Removal procedure is mentioned for Chevrolet car models.
The details for Chevy Corvette compressor replacing is as follows:----

CAUTION
Before beginning this procedure, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section. Only a MVAC-trained, EPA-certified, automotive technician should service the A/C system or its components.

  1. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C System.
  2. Remove the A/C drive belt.
  3. Remove the A/C compressor hose assembly from the A/C compressor.
  4. Lower the front suspension crossmember.
  5. Disconnect the A/C compressor electrical connector.
  6. Remove the A/C compressor mounting bolts (1, 2, 4).
  7. Remove the A/C compressor mounting nut 3.
  8. Remove the A/C compressor from the vehicle.
To install:

Fig. Tighten the A/C compressor mounting bolts in sequence as shown
  1. Install the A/C compressor to the vehicle.
  2. Finger tighten the A/C compressor bolts and nuts only, do not torque at this time.
  3. Position the A/C compressor onto the A/C compressor bracket and install the A/C compressor mounting bolts (1, 2, 4).
  4. Install the A/C compressor mounting nut 3.
  5. Tighten the A/C compressor mounting bolts and nut in sequence as shown to 37 ft. lbs. (50 Nm).
  6. Connect the A/C compressor electrical connector.
  7. Raise and install the front suspension crossmember.
  8. Install the compressor hose assembly to the A/C compressor.
  9. Install the A/C drive belt.
  10. Evacuate and recharge the A/C System.
  11. Leak test the fittings of the A/C components.
