Chrysler Supercharger Removal?

Supercharger replacing for Chrysler crossfire.

The complete step by step procedure is as follows:--


Removal & Installation



  1. Disconnect battery negative cable from battery and properly isolate to prevent accidental reconnection.
  2. Drain the cooling system.
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Engine cover
    Air cleaner housing
    Accessory drive belt
    Throttle body harness connector
    Vacuum line at the throttle body
    Intake manifold plenums
    Supercharger outlet tube
  4. Release the fuel pressure through the service valve.

    Fuel supply line at the fuel rail
    Fuel injector harness connectors
    Fuel rail retaining bolts and remove the fuel rail
    Charge air cooler coolant hoses at the right front of the engine
    Supercharger clutch harness connector
    Secondary air injection valves
    Supercharger to cylinder head bolts and remove the supercharger
  5. Remove the old supercharger gaskets

To install:
  1. Clean and inspect the gasket mating surfaces.
  2. Install new supercharger gaskets onto the cylinder heads.
    1. Be sure that the holes in the gaskets are facing toward the front of the engine.
  3. Install or connect the following:

    Supercharger onto the cylinder heads and tighten the bolts to 17 ft. lbs. (23 Nm) in a crisscross pattern
    Secondary air injection valves and tighten the retaining bolts to 17 ft. lbs. (23 Nm)
    Supercharger harness connectors
    Charge air cooler coolant hoses at the right front of the engine
    Fuel rail and tighten the retaining bolts to 80 inch lbs. (9 Nm)
    Fuel injection harness connectors
    Fuel supply line at the fuel rail
    Supercharger outlet tube
    Intake manifold plenums
    Vacuum line at the throttle body
    Throttle body harness connector
    Accessory drive belt
    Air cleaner housing
    Engine cover
  4. Refill the cooling system.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
