Chrysler Rear Mode Door Removal?

The details to replace Rear Mode Door.

The procedure is as follows:---

Rear mode door Removal:----


  1. Remove the cover from the front center floor console.
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  3. Disconnect the body wire harness connectors from the rear blower motor power module and the rear mode door actuator.
  4. Remove the body wire harness from the rear console support bracket.
  5. Remove the eight screws that secure the front console support bracket and the rear console support bracket to the floor console base and duct assembly and remove the support brackets.
  6. Remove the four screws that secure the rear blower motor housing to the floor console base and duct assembly.
  7. Remove the rear blower motor housing and place it on a bench.
  8. Disconnect the rear blower motor wire harness connector from the power module.
  9. Remove the eleven retaining clips and three screws that secure the rear blower motor housing together and separate the housing halves.
To install:

NOTE
If the seal on a mode-air door is deformed or damaged, the air door must be replaced.

  1. Install the center console mode-air doors onto the lower rear blower motor housing.
  2. If removed, install the rear blower motor and the blower motor wire harness and grommet onto the lower rear blower motor housing.
  3. Assemble the two halves of the rear blower motor housing together and install the eleven retaining clips and three screws. Tighten the screws to 17 inch lbs. (2 Nm).
  4. Connect the rear blower motor wire harness connector to the rear blower motor power module.
  5. Position the rear blower motor housing into the floor console.
  6. Install the four screws that secure the rear blower motor housing to the floor console base and duct assembly. Tighten the screws to 17 inch lbs. (2 Nm).
  7. Position the front and rear console support brackets onto the floor console base and duct assembly.
  8. Install the eight screws that secure the support brackets to the floor console base and duct assembly. Tighten the screws to 17 inch lbs. (2 Nm).
  9. Install the body wire harness bracket onto the rear console support bracket.
  10. Connect the body wire harness connectors to the rear blower motor power module and the rear mode door actuator.
  11. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
  12. Install the front center floor console.
  13. Calibrate the A/C-heater control.
