Auxiliary Heater Core Removal for Chevy and GM?

Chevrolet Avalanche, Chevrolet Express Van, and GM Savana car models.


The details and diagrams to replace Auxiliary heater core is as follows:-----

Removal & Installation

1. Drain the engine cooling system into a clean container for reuse.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
   
   
   Negative battery cable

   Heater hoses from the rear auxiliary heater core

   Rear interior quarter trim panel from the left rear side

   Blower motor from the rear auxiliary heater case

   Rear auxiliary heater case retainers and the case

   Lower auxiliary heater case retainers and the lower case

   Rear heater core from the case

To install:

1. Install or connect the following:
   
   
   Rear auxiliary heater core to the case
   

   Lower case and the lower auxiliary heater case retainers
   

   Rear auxiliary heater case retainers and the case
   

   Blower motor to the rear auxiliary heater case
   

   Rear interior quarter trim panel
   

   Heater hoses to the rear auxiliary heater core
   
2. Refill the engine cooling system.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
