  11. Remove the 2 bolts and the intake manifold shield.
  12. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose from the intake manifold.
  13. Disconnect the quick connect coupling Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge valve hoses from the Throttle Body (TB) spacer and from the EVAP canister purge valve.
  14. Disconnect the quick connect coupling PCV tube from the TB spacer.
  15. Disconnect the EGR system module vacuum and electrical connectors.
  16. Disconnect the intake manifold-to- TB spacer vacuum hose.
  17. Disconnect the generator electrical connector.
  18. Detach the 2 generator wiring harness retainers from the generator bracket.
  19. Remove the 4 generator bracket bolts and the bracket.

  1. Clean all gaskets mating surfaces.
  2. Position new intake manifold gaskets on the cylinder heads. Be sure the alignment tabs on the gaskets are aligned with the holes in the cylinder heads.
  3. Install the intake manifold and the 9 retaining bolts. Hand-tighten the right-rear bolt (viewed from the front of the engine) before final tightening, then tighten the bolts, in sequence, to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
  4. Inspect and if necessary, replace the O-ring seal on the thermostat housing. Position the housing and upper hose and install the 2 retaining bolts. Tighten to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
  5. To complete installation, reverse remaining removal procedure.
  6. Fill the engine cooling system.
  7. If equipped with air suspension, turn the air suspension switch to the ONposition.
  8. Start the engine and check for leaks.
  9. Road test the vehicle and check for proper operation.
