How to Remove Control panel on Ford E series Vans?

Ford E-150 2008

Ford E-250 2008

Ford E-350 Super Duty 2008

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the headlamp switch knob.
3. Rotate the headlamps switch bezel counterclockwise and remove.
4. Remove the instrument panel finish panel.
5. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
6. Remove the control assembly.
7. Disconnect the vacuum harness and electrical connectors.
8. Remove the control assembly.
9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Specific to:

Ford E-150 2009

Ford E-250 2009

Ford E-350 Super Duty 2009

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
2. If equipped with tilt column, position the steering wheel in the full DOWN position.
3. Remove the 2 Data Link Connector (DLC) screws and position aside.
4. Remove the steering column opening cover.
5. Pull the steering column opening cover down, releasing the 6 retaining clips.
6. Remove the 2 upper steering column support bracket nuts and the steering column support bracket.
7. Lower the steering column and loosen the 2 lower steering column support bracket nuts.
   
   NOTE

   To avoid damage to the instrument cluster finish panel, pull the panel forward just enough to access electrical connectors before completely removing the panel.
8. Pull outward to remove the instrument cluster finish panel.
9. Remove the control panel assembly mounting screws.
10. Remove the control panel assembly.
11. Installation is the reverse order of removal.
